Choosing Our Perforated Leather Seat Covers
When it comes to the general upholstery of the car, perforated leather is a great choice. You want your interior to be a good representation of how you coordinate the inside and the outside. Here are some things about having perforated leather seat covers.
Why Choose Perforated Leather?
There are a host of benefits of choosing perforated leather:
- Allows more airflow for better breathability
- Limits the sweat in hot climates
- It has a more luxurious feel when you drive
- It gives the vehicle a modern and crisp appeal
On hot days, your leather seats can burn your skin. This is uncomfortable during the summertime. However, you can get heated seats on chilly days. Either way, you’ll feel comfortable in your ride in both cold and hot climates.
This is all genuine leather and we offer a 3-year warranty on any leather seat kit.
Is the Whole Seat Leather?
No, only the insert (middle, back, and bottom of the seat) is leather. We do this because of the fitting arrangement. Remember, these are seat covers, not replacements.
We’re able to get the covers to fit so snug because we only use that much leather on them.
What Material Is Used for the Body and Headrests?
While the insert is made of perforated leather, the body of the seat cover is made of high-quality PVC. Here are some reasons why we use PVC:
- It’s a durable material
- Feels like leather
- Makes the cover feel tight with a factory fit
We don’t like having any slack that makes it seem like the covers were brought from the store. We like having the factory quality that comes from there or a quality custom job that you get from a well-renowned mechanic shop.
The Thickness of the Seat Covers
You don’t want something that feels like you can just slip through it. However, you don’t want that bulky feel. With our seat covers, we have 1/2 inch of memory foam for more cushion and comfort.
Whether you have a long commute or just going on a quick trip to the store, your behind will happy that you have memory foam to sit on.
How to Install the Seat Covers
Pick an afternoon where you’re not too busy. It typically takes around 2-3 hours to install the seat covers. The shape of the seat covers also plays a part in the installation process.
You may have to cut around the PVC around certain seat pieces, such as the Lumbar Support Knob, or the Power Seat Control Panel. If you need some assistance with this process, please visit our Facebook page or our video page for more details.
Can I Have a Professional Install My Seats?
If you’re someone who’s not good with upholstery, then it may be in your best interest to find a professional to do the work. If you’re near our location, you can always give us a call at (310) 347-6990 for any inquiries on the subject.
Not to mention, we can direct you to your nearest Authorized Clazzio Dealer who can help you get your seat covers installed. The price ranges from $100 to $500. It all depends on the vehicle type and if you decide to install heated seat covers.
How to Keep the Leather Clean?
Luckily, you don’t have to do too much. Forget all the cleaning solutions. Just use a damp cloth to wipe your leather seat covers clean. Once a year go with a leather conditioning wipe to clean, condition, and protect your leather surfaces from harmful UV rays for the long term.
